- 1st Sunday of each month, except July and August

During evening events, the museum gives the floor to students of History, Art History and Archaeology from Nantes and other invited specialties, to comment on one or more works of their choice from the collections. Take part in the adventure and enjoy your first experience of mediation in front of the public!
Student Museum 2026
Every 2 years, the museum gives students from all disciplines carte blanche for an exceptional evening open to all.
It's up to you to imagine and create an evening offering a new perspective on the museum's collections. The perfect opportunity to express your talents.
Visits for higher education
Are you a teacher supervising a group of students and would like to discover the museum's permanent collections or temporary exhibitions?
The museum has designed a range of tours to suit your needs.
You can choose to visit on your own or a guided tour by selecting a temporary exhibition, or one of the themes below.
For self-guided tours, reservations are required for groups of 8 or more; for guided tours, no minimum is required.
When should I book?
Visit the permanent collections:
- January1 to March 31, 2026: booking from Wednesday, November 5, 2025
- April1 to July 3, 2026: booking from Wednesday, February 4, 2026
- From July 4 to September 30, 2026: booking from Wednesday, May 20, 2026
Due to the re-hanging of works in the modern and contemporary art collections in 2025, some tour itineraries may be unavailable or modified..

Thursday nocturnes
Every Thursday evening from 7pm to 9pm, the museum is free! After class, take advantage of these two hours to visit the museum. It's a great opportunity to stroll from room to room, take a guided tour or dream about a favorite work. And on certain Thursdays, free events will bring together artworks and music, theater or dance. Not to be missed!
