The museum & its collections
At the Musée d'arts de Nantes, nine centuries of the visual arts, from the Middle Ages to the present day, are brought together in dialogue throughout the museum. The collections comprise over 14,000 works, nearly half of which are modern and contemporary. In an architecture that blends yesterday's with today's, the museum offers visitors a unique view of Western art, as well as the bold temporary exhibitions for which this major museum in Western France is renowned.

Museum spaces
Completely renovated in 2017, the Musée d'arts de Nantes is divided into three buildings whose architecture reflects their respective eras: the Palais, the Chapelle de l'Oratoire and the Cube.
