Julie Maquet (b. 1990, lives in Nantes, France) produces sculptures and installations from utilitarian objects and industrial materials obtained in large quantities. Her practice, which also extends to drawing, essentially involves the transformation of matter through repeated gestures, chosen according to the potential of the materials as much as their aesthetic interest.

For the glassed-in space at Le Parvis, the artist chose to invest the space's volume and transparency. The installation, composed of long strands of thorny plastic, presents a landscape frozen in time. From the organic aspect of the recycled elements, without identifying their original use, the artist has composed a hybrid and ambiguous sculptural form whose presentation, encapsulated in the urban space, evokes the remains of a nature that has lost its color.
