Visitors with disabilities

All spaces are accessible to persons with reduced physical mobility.

Various arrangements and equipments enable everyone's movement and comfort in each areas of the museum and the best access to artworks.

  • Rest zones are available throughout the visit.
  • Wheelchairs and stick-seats can be borrowed for free upon request to the museum ticket office.

Access to the museum

Access to the museum is possible by a lift outside located rue Georges Clemenceau ou We advise persons with reduced mobility to enter the museum at Rue Georges Clémenceau, where there is a lift.

Our reception staff is available to welcome you, to provide you information and advice, and to accompany you when you visit the museum, after getting your ticket.

Tactile itineraries, in raised characters and Braille, are available throughtout the rooms for visitors with visual impairments.

Entry to the museum is free for disabled visitors and the person accompanying them. Supporting documents required.

Circulate in the museum on your own

Tactile itineraries, in raised characters and Braille, are available throughtout the Palais and between the Cube and the Chapel for visitors with visual impairments.
Lifts of the museum have Braille buttons and audio announcements.
Seeing eye dogs are allowed.

Safety

As part of the vigipirate plan and in order to better guarantee your safety, provisions have been made and controls can be carried out.

Safety recommendations :

  • Follow safety instructions from organizers and law enforcement.
  • Do not leave personal belongings (bags, luggage) unattended.
  • Report any suspicious behaviour, object or baggage to security personnel present or to the police.

Lockers

Come light: choose small bags because the lockers are closed and backpacks, suitcases and umbrellas are not allowed in the museum.
Present your open bags to the security guard at the entrance.
