Opening hours

The Musée d’arts de Nantes is open daily, from 11am to 7pm, except Tuesdays.
Late-night opening all year round on Thursdays until 9pm.

Closed on 1st January, 1st May, 1st November and 25th December.

Summer opening
From 01/07 to 31/08, from 10am to 7pm every day. Open until 9pm on Thursdays.
On Tuesday, only the exhibition James Turrell. It becomes your experience of the Patio is open from 10 am to 7 pm, the other rooms of the museum are closed (full price: 4 € / reduced price: 2 €).

Last admissions 30 minutes before the museum closes.
Visitors are asked to leave the galleries 20 minutes before closing time.

Pass cards

Musée d’arts de Nantes Pass: €10
Unlimited access to the Musée d’arts de Nantes for 1 year. Free admission to all museums taking part in the summer Voyage à Nantes trail (Castle of the Dukes of Brittany, Natural History Museum, Jules Verne Museum). Pass holders have direct access to exhibition spaces and do not have to queue at the ticket office.

Inter-musées Pass: €20
Unlimited access to Nantes Métropole museums for 1 year: Musée d’arts de Nantes, Natural History Museum, Jules Verne Museum, Chronographe, Castle of the Dukes of Brittany.


During the summer event of Voyage à Nantes 2018, the Pass Mangasia (Lieu Unique) gives free access to all the metropolitan museums (Musée d'arts, Musée d’histoire (Château), Muséum d’histoire naturelle, Musée Jules Verne et Chronographe). By reciprocity, all Museum Pass holders can access to Mangasia exhibition free of charge during the event.

Individual booking

Reservations for workshops, guided tours and concerts, as well as tickets are available at the museum ticket office. Online service is currently unavailable. In order to reduce your waiting time on site, we advise you to come between 11am and 1pm during the week.
