Several temporary exhibitions are held each year at the Musée d'arts.
Each summer, a contemporary art installation is featured as part of the Voyage à Nantes. According to the themes of these exhibitions, the works come from public or private collections, from France or from around the world. The origin of the artists and the origin of the loans thus offer an international exploration of art.

Chapelle de l'Oratoire, Salle Blanche and Room 25 also feature temporary installations and exhibitions.
